On Friday, September 3rd the Evergreen Drift ProAm competitors will face each other for the final time in 2010 to determine who takes the championship, the Formula Drift Pro license, and the ProAm Nationals invitations.  The coveted license will be awarded to the season champion and invitations to Nationals are awarded to 2nd through 5th place season finishers with one wild card invite to be awarded by Evergreen Drift officials.

The current standings for the top contenders are:

  1. Peter Funatake - 349 points
  2. Mike Phillips - 308
  3. Andrew Coomes - 274
  4. Kohei Nakamura - 192
  5. Kyle Pollard - 171
  6. Nik Jimenez - 157
  7. Walker Wilkerson - 150
  8. Trent Stromkins - 104

The points are close and drivers will be forced to go all in and leave nothing on the table to earn the prize in the unpredictable game of ProAm competition.

To top it off we are holding an Open Drift in conjunction with the ProAm event for even more drift action. It is the very last open drift of 2010 and the last chance to practice for the final round of the Grassroots Competition series which has it’s final round on 9/12.

This is also the last chance to participate in the NWN All Forum car meet. Come to the back gate, park in the pits, and show off your car. Forums are encouraged to roll in together and rep your community. Beat the fair parking and park in the pits!

Start Labor Day weekend early and enjoy drifting!

Northwest Nissans Golden Gardens

March 6, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

The Northwest Nissans meet at Golden Gardens in Seattle is the de facto kickoff of the Northwest season.

Hundreds of Nissans, Datsuns, and plenty of other types of car show up all over WA, BC, MT, OR, ID, CA and who knows where else. Check out all the rare cars and crazy swaps and mods of every type from the Northwest scene.

Don’t miss this chance to get out of winter hibernation, hang out, meet the people you yap with on NWN, and see tons of cool cars. People also bring parts to sell so bring some cash for that special find or make some by selling your extra stuff.

All Evergreen drifters are encouraged to show up early so we can all park together. If you have a drift machine bring it out and chat with the staff about the 2010 season. This is pretty much the only time you’ll catch us hard parking.

We’re working on some cool giveaways so stay tuned for more details.

Please note that this is located at a public park. It is important to positively represent the scene by driving legally and quietly at all times coming to and from an event. Aggressive driving and being a general jackass impresses no one and makes the non car people hate us. Don’t be ‘that guy’ and save it for the track.

For more information check the official NWN Thread.
